They say…

Looking for a magic wand that will transform you from Plain Jane to Queen Bee in seconds? The all-new Lash Mob Limitless Mascara from SUGAR gives you just the drama your eyes need! Whether you’re a fan of super volume or clump-free formula, we bet that your lashes will thank you once you’ve had your first date with this beauty. Creamy-textured and incredibly easy to apply, this paraben-free Mascara does a stellar job of separating, defining and combing through each lash so you’ll experience lashes like never before!

 I say…

My first ever purchase from Sugar Cosmetics!  I’m always on the hunt for a good mascara, simply because there are so few that really impress me. Most mascara’s are either too wet or dry, the wand is too think or thin, or maybe the formula is just way off. In fact, even the Maybelline Colossal Volum Express Mascara didn’t impress me. Don’t kill me for saying that! I know that a lot of people are loyal to that mascara, but the formula just wasn’t my favorite.

The only mascara that I’ve ever truly loved is the L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara, and it’s like my baby. I am extremely loyal to this mascara, and have repurchased it at least three times now. The wand, the formula, everything about it is just perfect! And, in my opinion, every girl must own an amazing mascara- it makes you look fresh, bright and awake in seconds, and is great for someone who doesn’t want to mess around with eyeliner or kajal everyday.

Any way, now that I’ve given you all a Miranda Priestly-esque rant about mascara’s, I’ll quickly move on to my review.

I received this product in a Fab Bag, where I had the option to pick my make-up item of choice, and I picked this mascara. Recently, I’ve been hearing some beauty bloggers talk about this brand, and I decided to check it out for myself.

So, let’s start with the packaging. Unfortunately, my mom accidentally threw the outer carton away, so I don’t have any pictures of it. Sorry! But I can tell you this: the outer packaging is very cute, and reminds me a bit of Benefit’s packaging. Coming to the mascara tube itself, it is matte black and white-very sleek looking. I love such packaging, simply because it adds a very sophisticated touch to any item.

Now, coming to the actual product- the wand is neither too short, nor too long. In fact, it’s pretty much the perfect size. It is pretty straight, and does not curve inward or have any other design to it. It is quite precise as well. All these factors really help when it comes to application, because you can apply it easily, and it chances of the wand bumping on to your eyelid or under-eye area are relatively less. The bristles run around the wand in a circular shape, and are packed together quite closely.

The formula is not too wet, not too dry. It is a bit thicker that the L’Oreal VML, and thus, I wasn’t sure of how it would apply at first. But, I was pleasantly surprised when I actually used it. It glides on perfectly onto your eyelashes, and does not clump up. Oh, and by the way, the shade is called “Black With A Bang”. And you know what, it definitely lives up to it’s name. It is one of the blackest mascara’s I’ve ever used, and that’s saying a lot, trust me! It takes about 2-3 swipes to show up and work, but when it does, it does the job beautifully.

It has no fibers in it, and thank God for that, because mascara’s with fibers are so hard to remove, especially when you have sensitive eyes like mine. For me, this mascara gives me equal parts volume and length, and that’s why I would say that it’s a really good “everyday” mascara. The mascara also gives your lashes a lift, without you having to use an eyelash curler! This came as quite a shock to me, as the wand wasn’t curved at all.

It is definitely long lasting, and is smudge-proof. It is also water-proof to some extent, but that’s fine by me, because I don’t like wearing water-proof formulas on an everyday basis. It is also really easy to remove with baby oil or make-up remover.

On the days when you have no energy to put on eyeliner, my tip is to use an eyelash curler and swipe on this mascara, and you’ll look fresh and awake in no time!

Final verdict:

I am in love with this mascara! My L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes has been my holy grail for the longest time now, and I’ve had a pretty hard time finding a mascara that compares to it. This is it, guys!

FullSizeRender (11)
My lashes before using the mascara-they are naturally a bit voluminous, but not long at all.
FullSizeRender (12)
My lashes after using the mascara-you can see what a world of a difference it made! And this is without the use of an eyelash curler, too!

    1. Yes, I’ll be putting up Kiko product reviews very soon! I quite like the brand, and their mascara’s are pretty nice as well.
