Off-Duty Model Style

Hey guys!

So lately, I’ve been getting some major inspiration from some of my favorite models. Bella and Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Miranda Kerr, Cara Delevigne, Lily Aldridge… the list goes on and on. Their off-duty style, in particular. Somehow, they still manage to look like goddesses, even in a pair of sweatpants. And on the other hand, us mortals spend hours perfecting that “I-just-got-out-of-bed-and woke-up-looking-flawless” look. And when that doesn’t work out, we throw on some jeans and a t-shirt, swipe on some lipstick, and hope for the best.

To ensure that you’re never faced with such a conundrum again, I thought I’d break down the off-duty model look for you guys! I picked out some key trends that you can incorporate into your look, for the days when you don’t want to spend too much time fixing yourself up and still look fresh and en vogue.

The make-up is simple- concealer, mascara, cream blush, and a swipe of the perfect nude lipstick. The key is to look fresh and awake, and less is definitely more. In fact, I had recently written a post where I spoke about how you can easily get the fresh faced look, using minimal products. You can check that out here!

For hair, beach-y waves and slicked back, high ponytails are the norm. The waves can be easily achieved using some texturizing spray, while a sleek pony requires a bit of product to tame fly-aways. And if all else fails, throw on a beanie. You can never go wrong with that, right?

Moving on to the fashion aspect of this trend, it’s very comfy-chic. It’s all about loose silhouettes on top paired with fitting bottoms, which help define the curves and bring some shape to the body. There is a lot of black and white involved as well, along with a lot of plaid and silver jewelry which gives off a very grunge vibe. There is not a whole lot of layering involved, and most stick to a basic black and white color palette, with maybe a pop of color with an accessory to break the monotony. You’ll see a lot of cotton paired with denims and leathers, and most tend to favor boots or sneakers.

Here are a few of the looks that I absolutely love:
