My Favorite Blotting Papers: NYX Green Tea Blotting Paper

Hi, my loves!

So, today’s post is aimed specifically at my oily and combination-skinned beauties. I feel you, and I know how irritating it is to constantly have to powder your nose. Now, while there’s not much we can do about our clearly and visibly over-active sebaceous glands, we all know the result of too much powdering. The powder can start building up and looking cakey, our pores can get clogged, and it’s just not a good look.

So, after extensive research and trial-and-error, I have come up with a better solution for us all- well, it is at least better than caking on the powder! The NYX Green Tea Botting Paper is now permanently residing in my bag, and it is always there to save the day.

Now, let me get one thing out of the way- I know that there is a normal variant out there, without the ‘green tea’, but I just happen to be a little extra! And for some reason, I believe that the ‘green tea’ variant is a little better than the normal one. Maybe it’s just my imagination…?

Okay, okay. Coming back to the point.

These blotting papers are pretty awesome. If you don’t have the time to powder your nose, blend it out, and make sure it doesn’t look cakey, you can (quite literally) slap on a blotting sheet out of this pack of 100 and go about the rest of your day.

Now, the first time I wanted to purchase blotting papers, my mother rolled her eyes at me and told me I could just use tissues instead. If any of you are on a budget, tissues can definitely help absorb some of the oil in a pinch. But, blotting papers are made specifically for this purpose, and definitely do the job so much better. In my experience, these papers absorb more than 95% of the oil on your face and help you look more matte and fresh. Using blotting papers is also a great way to give your makeup a little boost of refreshment, and no one will ever know that you’ve been rocking your glam since 6 am.

I also feel that it is a much better alternative to powder, and you’re definitely doing your skin a huge favour too. Trust me, your pores will thank you.

These blotting papers retail at ₹ 500, and you can find them in Sephora or online here.

Here are some pictures of my very well-loved pack, in case you wanted to know what they looked like:

Well, that’s all for today! Do you have any tips, favourite products or hacks for oily skin? Let me know in the comment section below.

I’ll see you all very soon.

  1. I have very oily skin and I always have the clean and clear oil control film in my bag. (the blue one as it is fragrance free) I love it so much as it absorbs all the oil and leaves my skin fresh and matte. I have not tried the NYX one maybe if I find one I will try. 🙂
